What are Managed Services?
Managed services are at the core of what we offer. They are a collection of services that provide automatic maintainence, self healing, tracking, reporting, and monitoring of your technology. Simply put, it is a number of small programs that run at different locations on your network allowing Greenlight Tech to provide our elevated services.
Much like a spreadsheet program teaches a computer to add numbers or a word processing program teaches a computer how to write a letter, managed service programs teach computers how to "manage" the "services" that they provide to their users. Services include things like email, file shares, or even simple things like starting up properly. These programs are designed from the ground up to run in ultra-low resource mode so that they don't interefere with your network.
When Greenlight Tech sets up your computers with Managed Services we become "second level" tech support because the computers can heal themselves. Problems are dealt with instantly, transparently, and with no hassle. None of your time is spent calling a tech support company to tell them something isn't working. No waiting for a service appointment. It is just fixed - immediately and automatically. Your day is uninterrupted. These managed service programs are becoming more powerful and able to deal with a wider range of issues as time goes on. Self-healing is just one of the powers of Managed Services.
Along with the self-healling, Managed Services also gives detailed reports on all aspects of your network from performance metrics, to errors, to a complete list of all the hardware and software you are running at any given time. All this is designed to make managing the network faster.
We don't foresee computers that are able to take themselves out of a box and set themselves up on your network, or meet with you to discuss what you want to do with technology in the coming year, but the technical support industry is definitely changing and maturing. We are proud to be at the forefront of what our industry can offer.
In case you're wondering, we even have Managed Services running on our own network. We treat your network like our network.
